HHCTRL.ocx

The other day I got an error message when I turned my computer on.

"Illegal System DLL Relocation:

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

Of course I ignored it at first and clicked OK. The next time I turned my computer on, I got the message again. This won't work I thought...

A search on Google for HHCTRL.ocx turned up some pages that helped me quickly learn that I had an update from Microsoft that caused an error. I went to this site and found a link to Microsoft's fix for the HHCTRL.ocx issue

I downloaded the problem, ran the file fix and now my computer is working correctly. Thank you Microsoft for fixing the issue you caused! We love you! Of course, I do use FireFox for Browsing :)

Let me know what you think or if you have a story to share.
